Come and join Thomas Michael Riley and Davin James as we enjoy the remote Nicoya peninsula. There will be live performances every day plus the great food, drink and accommodation is all inclusive! And will Doug Rose, our musical after-party host, be the Last Man Standing?
Starting on the first evening, right through to the last, you’ll be wined and dined, rocked and serenaded as we admire the fantastic scenery, flora and fauna of Costa Rica and its rainforests.
We will start in San Jose, where you will take a free shuttle from the airport to our first night hotel nearby.
From there we embark upon three commercial Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft for three days and nights in a private, remote and well-hidden hotel immersed in the rainforest. Weather permitting, we'll take in a volcano on the way. There is an option to travel overland (6 hours) rather than by plane (20 minutes!).
This hotel is fully air-conditioned, with what can only be described as a spectacular view of the peninsula, the bay and several islands. High up a mountain but near enough to hear and see the ocean, the rain, the howler monkeys, the vista are truly epic. As it rains you hear the forest come alive, and it will rain. This is an opportunity to get up close and personal with nature and your fellow travellers, not a beach vacation.
During the time we’re based in Las Islas, we’ll cruise the bay, visit some even more remote coastline, do some snorkelling around the coral reefs, and may be joined by dolphins and humpback whales as we sail. There’s also plenty to do and see in the surrounding area, such as zip line tours and the most astonishing bioluminescence.
On the final day, we take to the road and ferry for the return trip to San Jose. Naturally, we’ll take the scenic route. Lunch will be followed by a river cruise surrounded by crocodiles. We do not recommend petting them!
